This weekend I get the awesome opportunity to be the speaker at Mid-Winter Retreat at Glen Lake Camp and Retreat Center. I am beyond ecstatic about this opportunity for several reasons. One of them is quite obvious, I love speaking about the Lord’s word for us! There is more to this though.
When I was a wee lad in the Central Texas Conference I was on a conference committee called CCYM which is short for Conference Council of Youth Ministries. I was on this committee all four years of my high school years and I helped plan the Mid-Winter retreats back then as a youth. The opportunity to be apart of this retreat once again is very humbling, and yet quite exciting at the same time.
I get very excited about talking to youth.
Because I sincerely believe that the youth of today can change the world.
I would ask that you pray for the youth and adults and leadership team of this weekend and next weekend as well. Please for open hearts and open minds. That the Lord would bring a new realization over our hearts.
May God get the glory for what happens this weekend!
