Please Pray

Today I found out that a friend of mine from High School, Miguel Gonzalez died of leukemia at the age of 26. Apparently the leukemia was found not too long ago and it was too late to help Miguel. He played the saxaphone in the Copperas Cove High School Band. Miguel was a very cool guy. Miguel recently got married. Please keep Miguel’s family in your prayers.

Olympics

I think the idea of an Olympic games is amazing. Think about it. Once every four years the world comes together and represents their country with such pride that is both amazing and warming to the heart.
As I have watched the olympics this summer my heart has been warmed many times at the honorable way that the athletes of the United States have represented the USA. The stories of Michael Phelps, Ryan Lochte, Shawn Johnson, Nastia Liukin, and many others have shown me the value of hard work and believing in yourself.
It is said to be the most powerful secret weapon that anyone can have, believing in yourself. I have seen the power of this secret weapon. Michael Phelps, Shawn Johnson, Nastia Liukin, and definitely Misty May-Treanor, and Kerri Walsh, and not to mention the much needed Redeem Team. All of these are excellent examples of what you can do if you just believe.
The Olympians have not just represented the country that I love, but they have shown me so much value that I have in myself. I know it be weird but it has been an extraordinary experience for me.
GO TEAM USA!!!!
